Strategy of the EA

The EA is a trend scalper. Entering a trade occurs during reversal of the main trend. Filtering of signals from the channel indicator based on volatility can also be applied. The closing of orders may occur by stop loss, take profit or by embedded in the EA indicators, closing may occur by indenting the edges of the channels of the corresponding indicator also; a time limit of trade may be also.
The Expert Advisor does not use martingale and grid orders, but may use the mode of recovery, which is a recovery by an elevated lot (depends on set).

The expert is a stable and profitable robot, which is designed to work in various market conditions, for many years of profitable trading.

Backtests of the Expert Advisor

Backtests were done for each pair separately because Metatrader 4 platform does not allow running of multicurrency tests.

The first series of tests is done with a fixed lot. This allows you to evaluate test results without considering money management.

Description of the settings

The settings of the robot are as follows:

Magic — magic of the orders on this currency pair
EA_Comment — order comments (optional)
MaxSpread — maximum allowed spread, when a value is -1.0, it is not limited
Slippage — slippage
Auto_GMT — automatic detection of GMT broker enabled if true
Calculate_DST — daylight savings time of the broker (Daylight Saving Time), works with Auto_GMT=true
Manual_GMT_Offset — manual setting of GMT when Auto_GMT =false

Custom Settings

StealthMode — the stealth mode is when the EA does not put stop losses and profits clearly, i.e. hides them from the broker
NFA — mode of compatibility with the brokers operating under the regulation of the National Futures Association (National Futures Association)
No_Hedge — disable placing of hedge orders, i.e., simultaneously opened Buy and Sell positions
TicksTrade — enable the mode of calculation on every tick (calculations of the closure of minute timeframe M1 are used by default). It is recommended to use only after optimization for this option! Or do not touch this setting at all

StopLoss— Stop Loss
TakeProfit— Take Profit

Channel_Period - period of channel indicator, based on volatility
Entry_Break — spacing from the walls of the channel in pips when entering
Exit_Distance - spacing from the walls of the channel in pips to close the order
Exit_DistanceM1 — spacing from the walls of the channel in pips to close the order, calculated for minute timeframe
Start_Trade_Hour — specifies the beginning of trading hour during a trading day, it does not work when a value is “-1”
End_Trade_Hour — specifies the ending of trading hour during a trading day, it does not work when a value is “-1”
MaxDailyRange — the value of the filter for maximum daily values, it affects the frequency of entering
UseCustomPair — permits the use with the pairs that are not recommended
UseSettingsFrom — if trading on unrecommended pairs is enabled. UseSettingsFrom shows the recommended pairs where the internal parameters of the EA are used. It makes sense only when recommended pairs are inscribed.

Risk Management

RecoveryMode — the “recovery” mode is enabled, i.e. when the has happened, the EA will trade increased lots up to the exit of this drawdown
FixedLots — fixed lot size
AutoMM — dynamic lot size
AutoMM_Max — maximum allowed risk, it affects the size of the lot placed by the Expert Advisor, the risk is calculated for 100 pips to stop loss.
MaxAccountTrades — maximum number of simultaneously open orders that are opened by the EA on the account, if the value is “0”, the number of orders is unlimited.

The Simple version can be set on the recommended pairs only.

What version of EA should you install?

The Simple version differs from the regular version in that there is a minimum number of the “outside” settings. If you want to have full access to all settings, if you want to use settings that are different from the author’s sets, or want to run the EA “Wallstreet Asia” on the pairs that are different from the recommended for you, then only the regular version of the EA is recommended for you. The Simple version can be convenient for beginners and for fans of experiments.

Attention! If you use Simple version, then don’t forget to set MaxDailyRange parameter for each pair:

— GBPUSD: MaxDailyRange = 35
— USDJPY: MaxDailyRange = 75
— EURCHF: MaxDailyRange = 35
— GBPCHF: MaxDailyRange = 55
— GBPCAD: MaxDailyRange = 85
— EURGBP: MaxDailyRange = 5
— USDCAD: MaxDailyRange = 85
— USDCHF: MaxDailyRange = 35

If you decided to use the normal version of the EA, it is recommended to use the sets given in the end of the article (there is a folder with Presets in MQL4 folder).

Attention! Don’t change anything in the EA parameters and use only the recommended values unless you really know what you’re doing!

Recommended money management

It is recommended to risk 2% of the deposit on each pair. The lot can be calculated simply - set the level of risk in the EA parameters, and everything will be calculated automatically.

The results

The EA “Wallstreet Asia” is multicurrency, stable and profitable trend scalper, i.e. it is the trading robot designed to work on ECN account. The reliability, stability, and predictability are confirmed by tests and monitoring on a real account. On the long term, its profitability may be in the neutral zone sometimes. Also, note that the EA does not trade often.

Important !

For the correct operation of the EA, your trading terminal must be working from the market open on Sunday night before closing on Friday evening. If you have no way to keep the computer in working order 24/5, it is recommended to use a VPS server.
