Installation guide

Advisor to install as usual. If you are new to the Forex robots and you have a lot of questions - read the article.

In this Expert Advisor settings for each pair are already set in the code, so just open the corresponding pairs on M15 timeframe. In addition, alternative settings of the bot authors described in the personal area. To use them, you need to set the UseCustomPair to true and in UseSettingsFrom put the name of the setting (for example, EUR33).

Advisor strategy

Advisor is historically the first competently implemented trend scalper, which opens with “kickbacks” from the main trend (even rumored that WallStreet Forex Robot is based on “leaked” strategy of a large investment bank). Trend indicators such as Moving Averages, CCI, ATR, WPR and own calculations are used. Advisor has spread control, “invisible” mode, filter on the clock, “recovery” mode at loss, decorrelation of the news, as well as Broker Spy module tracking and recording trading conditions of broker online. This EA does not use a grid of orders averaging and martingale, it sells well, without this dangerous “doping”.

In this article, we will test the proposed by the advisor developers and alternative settings on tick data from Ducascopy using Tick Data Suite program, evaluate the results and analyze resulting settings of Wall Street Forex Robot v.2.0 Revolution adviser.

Advisor backtests

Backtests are made on each pair individually, as Metatrader 4 platform does not allow for multi tests.

All tests are placed in Myfxbook monitoring, you can press interested pair and you’ll see detailed statistics (profit, drawdown, the individual months of profitability, transaction times and other data). In my opinion, such a self-analysis is very useful.

The first series of tests is done by fixed 0.1 lot. This allows you to evaluate the test results without regard to money management.

Settings description

  • Magic - orders magic on a current currency pair
  • EA_Comment — comments to orders
  • MaxSPREAD — the largest spread allowable
  • Slippage — slippage
  • StealthMode true/false — stealth mode, when the advisor doesn‘t put stops and profits, ie. hides them from the broker.
  • EmergencyStopDist — emergency stop, triggers when StealthMode=true and is added to virtual stop, for example, if StopLoss parameter is 60 pips and EmergencyStopDist is 100 pips, then emergency stop loss is equal to 160 pips
  • CloseOnlyOnProfit true/false — close orders only in profit (not earlier)
  • NFA true/false — turns on compatibility with brokers working under US National Futures Association regulation.
  • No_Hedge true/false — turning on/off hedging orders, ie. opened positions on buy and sell simultaneously
  • WinLargeFonts true/false — advisor info panel is displayed with a larger font
  • RefreshDays — several days later licensed advisor will go for updates
  • PendingOrderDist — use of pending orders instead of market orders: if the parameter is 0, the normal market performance; if PendingOrderDist> 0, the limit order is placed at a distance of PendingOrderDist pips from the market price, and if PendingOrderDist <0, then put a stop order on the distance of PendingOrderDist pips from the market price (recommended only for experienced traders and researchers)
  • StopLimitExpire — pending orders lifetime
  • StopLoss — stop loss
  • TakeProfit — take profit
  • SecureProfit — guaranteed profit level (if the usual one didn‘t work) SecureProfitTrigger —SecureProfit parameter switch
  • UseCustomPair true/false — if you use advisor on unsupported pairs, put true
  • UseSettingsFrom — settings from which supported pair to use for an unsupported one.

Attention! Advisor has so-called “alternative” sets from the developers, for which you need to select the corresponding pair, then put UseCustomPair=true and in the UseSettingsFrom line enter the name of an alternative set.

The names of alternative sets are EUR33, GBP30, GBP52T, EURJPY.

  • FixedLots — fixed lot size
  • AutoMM - dynamic lot size
  • RecoveryMode true/false — turns on the recovery mode, ie. the lot doesn‘t decrease at a loss
  • AutoMM_Max — maximally allowed risk, influences the level of the advisor lot, risk is calculated for 100 pips to stop loss
  • MaxAccountTrades — max amount of simultaneous trades opened by the advisor, value ‚0‘ means unlimited number of orders
  • MaxAccountDD — max allowed drop on an account, value ‚0‘ means unlimited MondayStartHour — from what hour to start trading on Mondays. If you don‘t like trading on Mondays, put MondayStartHour=24
  • FridayExit true/false — trade on Fridays yes/no
  • LastTradeHour — the last trading hour on Fridays (inclusive)
  • ExitHour — if set, the robot will close all positions at this hour on Friday
  • GMT_Offset — GMT broker time shift
  • DST_Usage true/false — Daylight Saving Time
  • Include_Medium_News true/false — turns on/off dependency on news of medium level of danger (additionally to protection from highly dangerous news)
  • Wait_Before_News — time (in minutes) to the news, when the advisor cannot trade
  • Wait_After_News — time (in minutes) after the news, when the advisor cannot trade

New! BROKER SPY MODULE

A new BROKER SPY MODULE was added to the WallStreet Forex Robot v.2.0 Revolution advisor, which in addition to showing the trading flow parameters and quality of order execution, records all the settings to an external file. This can be useful for the quantitative analysis of the quality of the broker and the collection of statistics.

The external file is located in the MT4 Data Folder-> MQL 4-> Files.

BROKER SPY MODULE Panel Indicators Description

  • First Trade– date and time of the first order in statistics
  • Last Trade– date and time of the last order in statistics
  • Total Errors– general amount of registered mistakes of all types in statistics
  • Stop/Limit Orders— number of set pending orders in statistics
  • Stop/Limit Deals— number of activated pending orders in statistics
  • Market Trades— number of market trades in statistics
  • Total Entry Slippage– slippage amount of all the orders in statistics
  • Average Slippage– average slippage
  • Average Speed– average market order trigger time in milliseconds
  • Exit Signal Trades– total number of triggered closing signals
  • Total Exit Slippage— total slippage amount at the closing signals (4-sign pips)
  • Average Slippage– average slippage at all the closing signals (4-sign pips)
  • Average Speed— average speed of market orders triggering
  • Average Spread– средний average spread of all the robot‘s trading signals
  • Last Signal Spread– spread at the last robot signal
  • High Spread Count– number of canceled signals because of a very high spread (see MaxSPREAD parameter in BROKER SPY MODULE setting of the advisor)

BROKER SPY MODULE Panel Parameters Description in the advisor settings

  • BSM_Alerts true/false— put True, if you want to get alerts from the module work
  • BSM_Alert_Open_Delay– size of the max allowed delay in milliseconds at the order opening, if the time is exceeded, alert will appear
  • BSM_Alert_Open_Slippage— size of an allowed slippage in 4-sign pips when opening the order, if the slippage is exceeded, alert will appear
  • BSM_Alert_StopLimit_Delay— size of allowed delay in milliseconds on pending order acceptance by broker, if the time is exceeded, alert will appear
  • BSM_Alert_StopLimit_Slippage— size of an allowed slippage in 4-sign pips when accepting the order by broker, if the slippage is exceeded, alert will appear
  • BSM_Alert_Close_Delay— size of an allowed slippage in milliseconds at the order closure, if the time is exceeded, the alert will appear

Attention! Do not change anything in the advisor parameters and use only recommended values, if you don‘t fully understand what you are doing!

Together with the license WallStreet Forex Robot v.2.0 Revolution advisor, developers offer Recovery adviser. This is a separate Advisor of Martingale class with a built in BROKER SPY MODULE.

Attention! Using the martingale Recovery with the WallStreet Forex Robot greatly increases the risks!

 

Recommended money management

Risk recommended on a trade is 2% of a deposit on each pair. Lot can be calculated with a help of a special calculator, or just set a risk level in the advisor settings, and everything will be calculated automatically.

Results

Wall Street Forex Robot Revolution advisor is one of the best paid trend trading robots. Of all the junk that is sold on the open spaces of the network, it can be included into 0.1% of worthy robots. And it proved by years of work.

Using WallStreet Forex Robot Revolution is profitable over a long period, which is confirmed by tests and monitoring, but in the short-term, profitability may be some time in the neutral zone.
